The largest active church in Leiden, Gothic, whose roof collects a lot of water to provide drinking water
This is the largest active church in Leiden. It was first a wooden chapel built in 1314 and dedicated to St. Pancras (the other name of the church), and in 1366 work began on a gothic church on this site. This work was never completed. The roof of the church received a lot of water, which provided drinking water in times of drought. Very beautiful carved portals to admire.
