The Dodori National Reserve is small, but it offers varied landscapes. It is crossed by the Dodori River, whose mouth is covered by an extremely dense mangrove. Some dugongs can be observed there. Originally, the park was created to protect the topis and some species of birds. It is also frequented by giraffes, kudus, hippos and even lions. The Boni Reserve, further north, is covered by a forest where buffalos, topis, guineas, giraffes and elephants live. Unfortunately, these two reserves are not recommended because of the risk of attacks and kidnappings in the area
