This city, listed since 2001 as a Unesco World Heritage Site, has many secrets to reveal to you. A street runs along the entire seafront, where you can find a few hotels, restaurants and bars. Parallel to it, the main street is lined with a multitude of small shops and craftsmen's stalls. It leads south to the large and lively market square where the only imposing monument of the city is located: the fort. All around, it is a maze of alleys. Lamu is above all a gentle way of life and a special atmosphere, which you will enjoy, provided you stay at least two or three days.
