A few kilometers north of Bamburi, we reach the pretty beach of Shanzu, with its few large luxury hotels, its small animated commercial center and its numerous souvenir stores. This area is easily accessible by matatu from Mombasa. Hotels charge a small fee to access the beach if you are not a guest, but it may be worth it if you want to enjoy a sunbed and the services of the hotel. On the way to Malindi, whether you are staying in Shanzu or just taking a lunch break, we recommend a visit to Coco de mer, a small Seychellois restaurant that delights all taste buds.
