CHARLES LEANDRE MUSEUM
The museum features works by Charles-Léandre, as well as numerous objects donated by prominent citizens of Domfront.
More than a museum, the Espace Charles-Léandre is first and foremost a cabinet of curiosities housed in the town hall. Dedicated to the artist who was born in Champsecret (near Domfront) in 1862 and died in Montmartre in 1934, you'll find some of his works here: pastels, charcoal drawings and lithographs. Numerous objects donated by notables from Domfront are also on display, some of them brought back from trips abroad. The museum is free of charge, and guided tours are available by prior arrangement.
