20 kilometers from San Juan de Alima, La Ticla is the last beach of the Nahua area. It is a beach of strong waves and violent currents, where surfers from all over the world gather. There are a few options for accommodation in small huts or you can simply rent a hammock to spend the night. The Parador Turistico de la Ticla is located on the beach and has good facilities that make it popular with visiting birds, especially surfers. There are also a few restaurants in the centre of the village, which offer good tacos and simple fish dishes.
