This superb and still little known natural environment allows for wonderful hikes. As for the flora, the reserve is home to many different species, especially of the Nothofagus genus, as well as woodland orchids. Shortly after the Conaf station, at Piedras Tacitas, you can see the notches that were probably made by the first inhabitants of the Maule region and that were once used to grind grain. To spend pleasant moments, follow the rivers Lircay, Blanquilo and Claro. The latter collapses into a large waterfall. Mountain lovers will be interested in the Descabezado Grande volcano, which reaches an altitude of 3,830 meters.
