Many Saratoga Springs residents work in Albany, the state capital, which is about a 40-minute drive away. Saratoga Springs, a city of about 26,000 inhabitants, owes its name to the presence of springs, which have made it a popular tourist destination for over two hundred years. There are twenty-one of them still in operation throughout the city - know that it is possible to drink their water, and that each one has a different taste. Saratoga Springs is also known for its horse racing circuit: built in 1864, the Saratoga Race Course has appeared on the big screen several times, notably in The Man Who Whispered in the Ear of Horses, a classic released in 1998, with Robert Redford.
