A beautiful watchtower with a beautiful fireplace, classified as a historical monument, an address to discover in Nijmegen.
The belvedere is the name given to a watchtower (1640) of the old city wall, which has been converted into a festival hall and whose terrace offers a beautiful view of the Waal. This beautiful tower has made the city famous in the whole country and beyond. It is located near the Valkhof in a park. Note the beautiful oak chimney with sandstone cheeks that dates from 1626. This building is of course classified as a historical monument. Look at the beautiful stone facade which also dates from 1646. Nice building to admire during a walk.
