The first island off Dagebüll, Föhr is an oval island of about 82 km 2. Some 8000 inhabitants live there. It comes for its beautiful sandy beaches, its groves suitable for cattle breeding, its windmills and its authentic villages. The most inhabited of the Frisian Islands is particularly welcoming and living in summer, particularly in Wyk, its «capital».
