ST DIONYS KIRCHE

The main church of Esslingen, dedicated to Saint Denis (and not to Dionysus), was built in Gothic style in the th and th centuries. it was only a long time later, around 1650, that we had the original idea of connecting the two towers with a suspended bridge. In the crypt you can see (Thursday and Sunday at 15 p. m., or on request: [email protected]) the remains of a church anterior to the Middle Ages.
