Travel Guide Corateí

Corateí is a small village in the rural area of Ayolas, located a dozen kilometres from the town. Corateí has a pretty beach, more attractive than the one in Ayolas. But as with the latter, one must be careful of the strong currents of the river. It is especially a popular destination for fishermen. There are several accommodation options on site, between hotels and posadas turísticas, most of which offer a catering service and fishing services (lanchas, equipment...). The road between Ayolas and Corateí is now asphalted. You can easily get there by taxi (around 100 000 Gs one way), or by bus (departures at 6.30 and 11 am from the Ayolas terminal, return at 7 am and 3.30 pm).
