Museum showing Bartholdi's working methods

Housed in the superb residence where Auguste Bartholdi was born on August 2, 1834, this museum highlights the life and work of this major French sculptor of the 19th century. The scenography features original models of his masterpieces: the Lion of Belfort, the Statue of Liberty... and other sculptures, drawings, paintings and photographs. The tour also includes a superb reconstruction of the sculptor's apartment. To book a guided tour, contact the Bartholdi Museum or the Colmar Tourist Office.

The Bartholdi Museum of Colmar can learn more about the life of the sculptor Auguste Bartholdi, who has realized the Statue of Liberty. There are some of his works, explanations about his life and the rebuilding of his apartment, this is an interesting museum and allows to learn more about Bartholdi.
