Easy to access with a large free car park, the Colmarian agency makes the link, sometimes a little tedious, between job seekers, the administration and companies. Some counsellors know how to listen to jobseekers and do their best to guide them properly. By inviting each jobseeker to an individual interview, counsellors assess their expectations and needs in order to offer them suitable job offers, job-search assistance workshops or training courses.

The Apprentice Training Centre trains apprentices in the hotel and catering industry. Cook, maître d'hôtel or chef de rang, with two alternating professional diplomas: Arts of cooking and Arts of service and marketing in the restaurant industry. 2 CAP (2-year training course) are also offered. You can take advantage of additional one-year training courses if you wish to specialise: Caterer or Restaurant Dessert Cook. The Alsace Region encourages apprenticeship and offers financial aid for your equipment in the 1st year.

For over 40 years, GRETAs in Alsace have been helping people and companies to acquire new skills and qualifications. This continuing education network of the French Ministry of Education provides local coverage to meet local needs. Greta Centre Alsace covers an area stretching from Barr to Guebwiller, and from the Vosges to the Rhine. It offers standard or tailor-made training courses of adapted duration, in response to needs expressed by companies and local authorities, as well as by salaried employees or job-seekers. GRETA offers training in a wide range of sectors: industry, services, hotels, catering, health and sanitation, construction, woodworking, security, language learning, etc. Greta Centre Alsace offers training courses leading to qualifications or diplomas, and can, on request, carry out a skills assessment or Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE).
