DORFSTUBE ÖTLINGEN

Housed in a 400-year-old half-timbered house, the Museum of Rural Life takes you back in time. It showcases the fruit growing and wine production that have marked the history of part of Ötlingen, the most beautiful village in the Lörrach district. The rooms are furnished as they were in the past, with many everyday utensils, and you'd think the inhabitants were just waiting for us to leave so they could go home! Since 2001, the adjoining building has housed a working smithy and a stable for small animals. The founding association regularly organizes temporary exhibitions on local traditions and art.
