The best Italian pizzerias and restaurants Padua

Typical restaurant in front of the Duomo of Padua. It serves typical dishes for it of cuisine from Veneto and the various recipes of baccalà.

Cheap price, even if the pizzas are slightly more expensive than elsewhere thanks to the quality of products. Large restaurant with 100 seats, elegant, with a beautiful terrace in summer. Quite mushroom based dishes, radicchio rosso, asparagus and fish.

Nestled under the arcades in front of the Duomo's baptistery, with its air of an old café from the end of the century, Il Gancino is a warm place with an authentic spirit. Recognizable by its old wooden front, this friendly locanda serves very good quality espressos, but also savoury snacks to be tasted on the spot, in a wooden decor with comfortable armchairs. The home-made pizzas are delicious and inexpensive. Large choice of bruschette and other panini and tramezzini of all kinds. Nice selection of teas, herbal teas and coffees.

In a 16th century building, an elegant room with immaculate white tablecloths, silver candelabra and exotic flowers decorates the setting where you will be served a refined cuisine with revisited regional recipes. Younger in spirit (and more affordable), the Veranda del Brolo offers a less serious but equally tasty cuisine and even a choice of over forty pizzas. A basket of homemade bread and, as a dessert, you will be seduced by the pear cooked in the red wine of the region or the tiramisù.

Who knows, maybe it's the international pop playlist that will get you in. This new establishment has two rooms decorated with a mix of traditional and modern. Many pictures of drivers and racing cars line the walls, as well as an amazing bright red hood from an old Ferrari berlinetta... The reception is rather nice and the service very efficient. The cuisine is homemade and the dishes are prepared with refinement, like the specialities of pasta, ravioli and lasagna served in large designer-looking pôelons.

Once at the table of this Paduan restaurant, the waiter suggests a selection of regional specialties, including grilled meats seasoned with local herbs, baccalà alla Vicentina, but also bigoli and other delicious homemade pasta dishes. La Vecchia Padova, with its old-fashioned décor of wooden tables, two-tone brown and white tablecloths and copper pots on the ceiling, has also become known for its generous, crisp pizzas baked in its wood-fired oven. Some dishes are also available for self-service.
