This funicular connects the Ribeira at the bottom of the historic centre, near the quays, to the Praça da Batalha, at the very top of the city, near the bridge and the cathedral of Sé. It is a very practical means of transport when you are in a hurry or tired. Above all, it offers a splendid view of the Dom Luis Bridge, the medieval walls of Porto and the different wineries of Vila Nova de Gaia. It was inaugurated in 1891 and renovated a hundred years later, in 1994. To be done at least once for the unique experience and its obvious practicality.

Sympa, évite démonter des marchés mais trajet cher 2,5€ avec la porto card cela revient à 2€ mais ca reste cher. Dommage car c'est amusant. On a une belle vue sur le pont Dom Luis sur le Douro.
