To discover the heritage of this medieval town, classified as a "Petit cité de caractère" (small town of character), you’ll need to explore its narrow streets on foot! Starting out from Rue Ville Close, an ancient medieval thoroughfare with colourful facades, you’ll discover private mansions and pretty wrought-iron balconies, such as on the former house of the Governor of Perche. Admire the 15th century porch and discover the remains of the ancient fortress: ramparts and moats where swans and ducks have made their home. Saint-Sauveur church, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, was rebuilt in the 17th century.

Le Vieux Bellême est la partie haute de la ville. On y flâne dans des petites rues qui serpentent autour de maisons anciennes. Il ne faut pas manquer l'église et sa place, lieu de vie.

Nestled in the heart of the Perch, on the banks of a splendid forest, this small town with the southern aspects is beautiful. It is a pleasure to stroll in the old town, its old houses with coloured upholstery, its noble mansions and shopping its charm. And for those who seek again some, it with fabulous rooms that allow for a delicious stay between horseback riding in the forest, discovered manors quarter or course on the 18 hole golf course. And everything barely 2 hours from Paris!
