Unfortunately, Crafton doesn't have much to offer anymore from the glorious days of Route 66. Downtown, the Afton Station (ex-DX Station opened in the 30's) seems to be closed for good. Until 2019, it allowed to admire a beautiful collection of Packard. The Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Hall of Fame Museum, 12 miles southeast of Afton, on the edge of Grand Lake O' The Cherokees, is also closed since 2019. As for the Buffalo Ranch, which opened in 1964 and was demolished in 1997, its memory lives on through a pointless gas station (Woodshed of Buffalo Ranch) that has retained its name and offers a few trinkets.
