A pyramid easily recognizable by its characteristic multi-storey silhouette, with the massive appearance of a 2-storey tower.

Easily recognizable by its characteristic tiered silhouette, it was built in the time of Snefru (2780 BC), the founder of the Fourth Dynasty, and represents the first real attempt to raise a pyramid . which ended in failure, as the pyramid collapsed partly during construction because of its own weight. This experience was used by the Pharaoh's architects to build the other pyramids. The unfinished pyramid has the massive appearance of a two-storey tower and is only worth the trip for archaeology enthusiasts.
