Dreaming of becoming a clown or an acrobat? The only circus school in the city, the Zaltimbanq association offers courses for children aged 7 to 77 and courses during school holidays. But beware is the ransom of glory, the places available are very quickly stormed.

LIL conducts a workshop each year from September to July. It is open to everyone, with or without theatrical baggage. In the course of the two hours of weekly sessions, it is possible to acquire theatre and improvisation techniques for professional actors. The courses take place in Esch-sur-Alzette, at the primary school in Merl, at different times depending on the levels.

The Workshop is a private theatre school in Luxembourg which offers classes of drama and speech by working scenes of classical or contemporary art, texts of prose, poems, fables, etc. The principle consists in working drama scenes, characters, actions, goals, analysis of intentions, actor's play and speech from games. breathing and interpretation.

The Théâtre de Esch hosts a dozen pieces each year, in French and German. But theatre does not do all programming. You can also see operas, operettas, concerts, ballets… and the Café Ubu, a small space designed within the theatre to show theater performances and jazz concerts.

Created in 1985, in a former spirits shed, the Théâtre Ouvert Luxembourg, called the TOL, offers four major creations a year, most of them in French. The venue has two small halls, one with 60 and the other with 50 seats, as well as a bar to end the evening over a drink in a friendly atmosphere. The TOL also works in co-production with other theatres, such as the Théâtre National du Luxembourg or the Théâtre des Capucins.

Faithful to its activities developed since its creation in 1996, the Théâtre national du Luxembourg (TNL) has two vocations: to be a theatre of language and literature in the three languages of the country (Luxembourgish, French and German), as well as a theatre of opera and contemporary musical creation, in close liaison with the different orchestras of Luxembourg. Since 2006, in addition to plays, the establishment has included dance in its programming.

Founded in 1973 and installed since 1985 in a sumptuous vault, this theatre was renovated in 2005 for its 20th anniversary in the historic centre. The small-capacity hall offers a very intimate atmosphere in the exposed stone basement. With nearly 130 theatrical performances per season, it is one of the most dynamic theatres in the city. The Théâtre du Centaure offers a contemporary programme and has thus revisited more than 100 works from the classical repertoire of French, German and Luxembourgish contemporaries.

The bunkers theatre plays an exclusively German and Luxembourgish repertoire. This theatre also offers drama courses in German.

The Grand Théâtre, which is part of the Théâtres de la Ville network, has two auditoria: the main auditorium and the studio, both equipped with over-titling systems and amplifiers for the hearing impaired. The Grand Théâtre hosts, co-produces and creates operas, musical theater, dance shows and plays. With a focus on surprising and delighting its audiences, it collaborates with major houses such as the Théâtre de la Ville (Paris) and international festivals.
