Travel Guide Betzdorf

Betzdorf is a very small village 20 km north-east of Luxembourg City. You can see Betzdorf in the distance thanks to about 20 large white antennas. These are part of the audiovisual area of the SES (Société Européenne des Satellites), which can be reached by turning left on the road along a small stream. Panels will explain the history of the site and the satellites. As for Betzdorf Castle, built between 1912 and 1919, it was the summer residence of the Grand Ducal heir family in the 1950s, then a rest home from 1968 to 1982. The SES then bought and renovated it in 1986 and still uses it today
