While this museum presents the history of Luxembourg's armed forces from their creation to the present day, it also invites visitors to reflect on the events of the Second World War. And mainly to the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the winter of 1944-1945. The centrepiece of this museum is undoubtedly the reconstruction of the crossing of the river Sûre near Diekirch on 18 January 1945 by units of the 5th U.S. infantry division.

Le Musée national d’histoire militaire à Diekirch retrace de façon remarquable l’histoire de la bataille des Ardennes et vaut ABSOLUMENT le détour ( où même le voyage!)

Un musée "à l'ancienne" avec des mannequins et de nombreuses mises en situation ou des vitrines.
Le noombres d'objets exposées est incroyable ! Même une véritable Enigma !
De nombreux véhicules, nombreuses armes...
On voit énormement de choses et c'est très grand !
