And mainly to the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the winter of 1944-1945. The centrepiece of this museum is undoubtedly the reconstruction of the crossing of the river Sûre near Diekirch on 18 January 1945 by units of the 5th U.S. infantry division.

For this reason, the Regional Tourist Office for the Luxembourg Ardennes (ORT Eislek) organises guided tours there. The route takes you through the pedestrian zone, through the old part of town, and reveals the museums and open-air entertainment, as well as the church of Saint-Laurent. The walk is suitable for families as well as the elderly.

While some of the circuits are designed for the more sporty, others are ideal for family rides. Guided tours are organised for adults on request at the Regional Tourist Office Ardennes luxembourgeoises. Different types of bikes for the whole family are available for rent through Rent A Bike (see prices on the website).
MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF THE CITY OF DIEKIRCH
Read moreInaugurated in 2012, the Diekirch History[s] Museum comprises five rooms, each dedicated to a specific thematic area. Each subject is presented according to a chronological development from prehistory to the present day. Historical exhibits such as a Roman mosaic, the work of archaeologists, the investigations of historians and the observations of geologists are on display. This museum is located on the same site as the town's Maison de la Culture.
HISTORY MUSEUM OF THE BREWERY OF DIEKIRCH
Read moreThe Brewery History Museum is located on the second floor of the National Conservatory of Historic Vehicles (CNVH). Lovers of the good "Diekirchoise" will be able to learn about the history of the brewery here and discover barrels, glasses, bottles, packaging, advertising posters, illuminated signs and all sorts of accessories in its effigy on display in the showcase.
NATURE DISCOVERY PARK
Read moreCovering 11.2 hectares on the right bank of the river Sûre, the Nature Discovery Park In Bedingen is an extension of the municipal park of Diekirch. It is equipped with various interactive stations that guide visitors through the flora and fauna of the area. On the way, you meet Scottish cattle and donkeys, the city's mascot. Although they are in pens, they are easily approached by children, who will be delighted to pet them.
ST. LAWRENCE CHURCH
Read moreThe first Christian altar was probably built in the 7th century on a Roman shrine and gave its name to the town, diet kirch meaning "people's church". Of the Romanesque building constructed around the year 1000, only a 12th century tower remains today. In the 15th century, the church was transformed to have two naves in Gothic style. The 16th century frescoes illustrate the life of St. Lawrence, the patron saint of the church. In the crypt there are Roman and Merovingian sarcophagi from the 6th century that were discovered under the church.
LUXEMBOURG BREWERY MOUSEL DIEKIRCH
Read moreThe Diekirch brewery was founded in 1871 and is today part of the Brasserie de Luxembourg group, which has been part of the Belgian-Brazilian group Anheuser-Busch InBev since 2005. The latter has introduced into the company a whole range of major international brands: Leffe, Hoegaarden, Belle-Vue, Stella Artois, Jupiler, Franziskaner, Beck's and Super-Bock. Three Diekirch beers are brewed on the site (Reserve, Premium and Grand Cru) as well as the Mousel beer.

The museum shows the periods of vehicle construction from the 19th century to the 1970s and contains splendid models from the beginnings of the automobile to the present day. Every year, some of the collection models are put on sale. A real treat for car enthusiasts! The Diekirch Brewery History Museum is located at the same address and is included in the ticket price.
