While this museum presents the history of Luxembourg's armed forces from their creation to the present day, it also invites visitors to reflect on the events of the Second World War. And mainly to the Battle of the Bulge, which took place in the winter of 1944-1945. The centrepiece of this museum is undoubtedly the reconstruction of the crossing of the river Sûre near Diekirch on 18 January 1945 by units of the 5th U.S. infantry division.

MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF THE CITY OF DIEKIRCH

Archaeology

Inaugurated in 2012, the Diekirch History[s] Museum comprises five rooms, each dedicated to a specific thematic area. Each subject is presented according to a chronological development from prehistory to the present day. Historical exhibits such as a Roman mosaic, the work of archaeologists, the investigations of historians and the observations of geologists are on display. This museum is located on the same site as the town's Maison de la Culture.

HISTORY MUSEUM OF THE BREWERY OF DIEKIRCH

The Brewery History Museum is located on the second floor of the National Conservatory of Historic Vehicles (CNVH). Lovers of the good "Diekirchoise" will be able to learn about the history of the brewery here and discover barrels, glasses, bottles, packaging, advertising posters, illuminated signs and all sorts of accessories in its effigy on display in the showcase.

NATIONAL HISTORIC VEHICLE CONSERVATORY

Museums

This is the former Jean Wagner car factory. The museum shows the periods of vehicle construction from the 19th century to the 1970s and contains splendid models from the beginnings of the automobile to the present day. Every year, some of the collection models are put on sale. A real treat for car enthusiasts! The Diekirch Brewery History Museum is located at the same address and is included in the ticket price.
