Municipal campsite classified 2 stars for a real restful stay in Valognes.

Le Bocage is the city’s municipal campground: green and flowery spaces line this area of about twenty sites. Everything is planned here to offer you a truly restful stay, and you are in the immediate vicinity of the city centre. On-site, comfort and practicality are the priorities. The more active will find a tennis court to exercise a little when returning from tourist walks. The rates are particularly advantageous - municipal management - and the place is open from May to October.

Very convenient for a stopover before getting the ferry from Cherbourg. Right next to the town with supermarkets and local shops within easy walking distance. Clean facilities, friendly staff, if no-one at reception you park up and they come round later so you can pay. Very reasonably priced. Dogs allowed. Interesting history and buildings in the town.

Found this by accident, really nice, convenient for walk into large town, within short drive to lidls supermarket. Very reasonable, nice enough toilets showers hot no extra tokens needed or push button thank goodness. no need to prebook, just find a spare plot, fella comes around for payment later, really friendly, would return
