The locals have been meeting here since 1896, and it seems that the decor has never changed! It is clear that this "gargote" is an institution. Come here in the evening, and especially at the end of the week when they play tango, bolero or cueca. The atmosphere is there, here it transpires the joy and the good mood! For the rest, the Chilean dishes are copious but very simple, the prices are soft the midday when the place is still calm and little agitated. An address not to be missed to discover the nightlife. This club, whose reputation is well established, is very popular with the nightlife in Port of Spain. Gay-friendly, it is also the place to be for fans of 80s and 90s music. The clientele is rather young, the beers are cheap and the atmosphere rather good-natured. The dance floor is a show in itself: the crowd goes wild to the rhythms of reggaeton and other cumbia tracks. Each night has a different theme. People usually come after midnight or 1am. A good atmosphere if you want to go out and have fun!

It is the most animated discotheque of the city, always crowded even during the week! You can choose to dance in three different atmospheres: three rooms, three floors! First of all a terrace with salsa on the first floor (electronic inside), second floor with varied music (rock, latino, electronic) and cheap beer, and finally on the ground floor, the atmosphere is rather rockero. Young foreigners like to come here to meet people and discover the nightlife of the city alongside young Chileans, who are always up for a good time!

A very nice bar, run by two enthusiastic brothers. You can listen to a lot of rock music: it's even the house speciality! Depending on the day of the week, Ilicito offers thematic evenings: blues night on Wednesday, concert upstairs on Friday... The drinks are not expensive at all, there is even pastis in principle! Try also the michelada and the mojito which will make you smile. The atmosphere is lively and the music is often loud: it's even hard to hear each other! The ideal address to have fun and enjoy a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Emporio Echaurren is a new gastronomic offering in a historic setting: that of a vast, century-old warehouse which, at the beginning of the last century, was home to sailors and migrants. People slept, ate and stocked ships with goods. Closed for 15 years, the site has undergone a facelift: since 2019, it has housed a restaurant, a café and a grocery store (oil, coffee, cereals). A stop at the Emporio Echaurren, with its marble counters and wooden pantries, is like stepping back into the mythical Valparaiso of the ^20th century!

A touch of the Montmartre of yesteryear, with posters all over the walls and tables jiggling about, all in a tiny space where everyone ends up getting to know each other and chatting! In this very typical bar, locals mingle with tourists, and the friendly owners always reserve a warm welcome for their customers. To the sound of bossa nova, Latin-American folklore, jazz or world music, you'll discover many artists performing live. Warm atmosphere after 11pm.
