The locals have been meeting here since 1896, and it seems that the decor has never changed! It is clear that this "gargote" is an institution. Come here in the evening, and especially at the end of the week when they play tango, bolero or cueca. The atmosphere is there, here it transpires the joy and the good mood! For the rest, the Chilean dishes are copious but very simple, the prices are soft the midday when the place is still calm and little agitated. An address not to be missed to discover the nightlife. Pura tradición!

Incontourbable. Les chanteurs de tango le soir sont presque aussi vieux que l'établissement, les mozos (serveurs) aussi. On y mange pas trop mal sur des nappes pas trop propres, par contre l'ambiance vous ne la trouverez nulle part ailleurs. C'est le Valparaíso authentique, celui qui a résisté contre vents et marées (et dictature), pas celui qui est récemment rénové.
