From the restaurant's covered terrace (or from the rooms on the right), you can watch the comings and goings of pirogues and dhows, and observe the men returning from fishing, sometimes carrying some very surprising creatures. At dawn or dusk, you'll love the atmosphere. The rooms, renovated in 2017, are warm and well-kept. Charm and serenity are the order of the day.

With the Sun Beach Hotel, Palmiro offers some of the most comfortable rooms in town. They are simple, well appointed and spacious, and all have a small private terrace overlooking a lovely garden. In addition, the hotel has direct access to the beach. Very good restaurant service at Chez Cuccu (a quarter of a century old!), to be enjoyed in the dining room or in the pretty tropical garden. Ultra-sympathetic reception what is more: a good address in all points of view, we recommend!

Very good location, just on the beach. A little bit of a sommaires, a bit failed, like the rooms and the restaurant. The kitchen is nice (good game in particular), but to stay, at this price you can find better elsewhere.

Good value for money. The rooms, decorated with wood, are well kept and warm, albeit dark. Good restaurant. Direct access to the beach. Quick star to go fishing, bivouac in the surrounding villages, observe whales in season (July to September) and win Belo-sur-mer (3 h 30 by calm sea).

Recently renovated, the Renala is run by Jean-Marie, who is also president of the Regional Tourist Office and Honorary Consul of France. Created more than 30 years ago by Jean-Marie's parents, the hotel has kept its superb wooden structure. 13 bungalows and 4 rooms, all air-conditioned and with terrace, but also a powerful wifi and sanitary facilities. Direct access to the beach and secure parking, pleasant restaurant and swimming pool. Activities and organized excursions. Quality address with family welcome and ecological sensitivity. We like it !

Belonging to a large group, this hotel offers 23 comfortable and well-equipped wooden bungalows, 6 km from the town of Morondave and near the beach with straw huts, deckchairs and a bar/restaurant. Created in 1992, the Baobab Café was picked up by Patrick, a former owner of the restaurant «Le Menabe» in 2000. A very popular address of the groups, for its beautiful tropical swimming pool and its restaurant/bar with seafood specialties. Not on the beach, but on the edge of the canal and mangrove. Prefer the most expensive rooms on the pool side, much more pleasant than those on the ground floor near the reception. All kinds of activities and excursions are offered (including bulk fishing). 

Best known for its restaurant, one of the best in Morondava, La Capannina (Chez Léa) now has wooden bungalows on stilts with a small terrace and a view of the canal and mangrove swamp, and seven other rooms on the first floor and first floor of a small building, with basic comfort, but equipped with the essentials (mosquito net, fan or air-conditioning, walk-in shower...). An interesting option for small budgets. Warm welcome, simplicity, good breakfast and excellent dinner!

A very friendly welcome is guaranteed to discover this simple hotel at affordable prices. No TV in the rooms, instead a breathtaking sea view. From the terrace, feet in the sand, pleasant atmosphere. Small shop area at the restaurant level. In anticipation of renting tents on the beach. The dishes offered combine French and Malagasy cuisine and even croissants are homemade.

Formerly called "The Blue Lagoon", Laguna Beach was taken over and rehabilitated by the Kimony group. It has 28 air-conditioned and ventilated rooms (with bathroom, hot water, lounge area, flat screen TV, Satellite Channel, terrace), distributed in an alley of bungalows that leads to the restaurant and the beach.
