Together with the fishing port, the craft market is the second nerve centre of Mbour. As long as you have the patience to slalom between the different canteens, visiting the market of Mbour is a good opportunity to discover the atmosphere of a typically Senegalese market. From 7am, it is agitation. The women monopolize the stalls which are overflowing with fruits and vegetables (eggplants, tomatoes, beans, oranges...). During the day, the activity intensifies and the market takes on the appearance of a souk: fabrics, spices, meat, fish, you can find everything!
