This is the best place to go out at night in Patan. It's a lounge bar, a concert café with live music on weekends, and a very decent restaurant. You'll love the terrace with its elegant bamboo furniture, the barbecued meats (delicious chicken), the large sofas in a room with high ceilings and a small stage where the play of colored neon lights is successful. A pretty counter with elaborate lighting, where bartenders shake up excellent cocktails, bottle beers and draught beers.

Nepalese love to go out, and to enjoy a lounge atmosphere for an evening, there's no need to relocate to Kathmandu. There is a place in Patan, and it's quite sophisticated, like the hipster bars and restaurants of Jhamsikhel, which attract the golden youth living in this district. The codes are faithful to lounge bars: DJ distilling easy-listening electro music, carefully crafted cocktails and well-chosen glasses of wine, and a huge terrace (on the^3rd floor of Labim Mall) serving gourmet snacks to accompany your drink.

Another beautiful café in the Jhamsikhel district, where it's great to take a break for breakfast or a snack, as well as for lunch and dinner. Breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, classics. The setting is sophisticated, like all the restaurants in the area, and we particularly like the spacious terrace with its benches surrounded by plants, where you can relax in a small oasis of greenery and calm. The concept store also sells small, high-quality objects. Excellent coffee, reasonable prices, good wifi.

If you're looking for a sophisticated rooftop to sip a subtly composed cocktail, seated in a lounge chair, with easy-listening background music, and above all an infinity pool overlooking the city and mountains, Akari & Koko is for you. Akari is the name of the Japanese-style Asian fusion restaurant on the top floor of the Vivanta luxury hotel, located in the heart of the trendy Jhamsikhel district. Koko is the name of the bar (cocktails and sushi) with its magnificent sky-blue tiled terrace reflecting the sky.

Within the walls of the boutique hotel Yalamul Garden, the restaurant transforms itself into a jazz and gypsy club in the evenings. Far from the noisy rock bars of Kathmandu's night-time streets, this hot club prefers a hushed, intimate atmosphere for concerts and jams of acoustic and organic music every Friday. Don't expect a concert every evening, as this is Patan, a very quiet city with few tourists in the evenings. The concerts are played by local Nepalese jazzmen, which is very pleasant.

Once again, you'll be surprised by the modernity and creativity of Patan's new venues. Don't miss the BAC, Bikalpa Art Cafe & Bar, an arty place, a cultural hub where you can eat really well (curry, masala, Chinese chowmein noodles, BBQ chicken, burgers, pizzas...) and home to contemporary local artists. The shady garden where the tables are located is very pleasant. Café, bar, coworking space, concerts, exhibitions, auteur film screenings: the rich program is well worth a visit.

There are so many good addresses in this trendy district of Jhamshikel, it's hard to choose! If you like gourmet burgers served generously with home fries, Café Soma is definitely one of Lalitpur's best addresses. You can also come here for a continental breakfast with excellent pastries, or at snack time for delicious brownies and homemade cheese cake. Delicious avocado toast and poached egg, goat's cheese salad, coffees, fresh fruit juices, lemonades... Beautiful interior and terrace.

This house converted into a small bohemian café-resto in Patan is an excellent address for a cocktail or glass of wine break, with a carefully selected menu. Of course, with a name like this, you'd expect quality background music - often jazz & soul - and small acoustic concerts in the garden, where convivial wooden tables and benches are laid out (lots of reggae). In the house, the decor is reminiscent of the 70s, with a guitar on the wall among other features. On the menu, we loved the trio of small burgers and the creative cocktails.

It's hard to spot this café tucked away between the narrow streets of old Patan. It's an excellent address for a break with a good espresso, a tasty breakfast, a fresh fruit juice and even very affordable lunch dishes. Grilled fish with lemon, for example, is a real departure from the usual menu, as is a perfectly roasted chicken supreme. It's a really good reason to take a break for lunch or dinner. The interior is rather dark, but well decorated with colorful murals.

Patan is home to a number of attractive new addresses. Like Kar.ma Coffee, which also exists in Bodnath, and roasts its own coffee grown in the highlands of Nepal by around 800 families living on farms. It's a well-thought-out concept that emphasizes its social and fair-trade commitment, while offering a very pleasant setting. Nearly 32 artisans are also involved in this concept store: stationery, ceramics, coffee-based beauty products, lamps, mango wood utensils, etc.). Tables are set out in an outdoor passageway.
