Charm and tradition combine with a warm welcome. Bricks, wood carvings, typical small doors (less than 1.80 m high!), alcoves, floor mats... The rooms and common areas are airy, comfortable and recently refreshed, and the garden is very pretty. This hotel is a little museum, immersing you in the Newari atmosphere of the time.

Everything is new and beautiful, while respecting the architecture of bricks, exposed beams, low ceilings and carved wooden openings typical of the region. There are only two en-suite rooms: a double with a terrace and a more spacious suite with no exterior, both of which are well-equipped (but not air-conditioned). No breakfast here, but there are plenty of places around the corner in old Patan to eat at any time.

Read moreThis really is the best hostel in Patan, slightly more expensive than Kathmandu's youth hostels, but really superb and pleasant. Dormitory beds (air-conditioned) are isolated in cubicles by curtains, ultra-comfortable with locker, plug and lamp, and all spacious, with 4 or 8 beds, including one reserved for women. Ultra-comfortable, contemporary private rooms with balconies, plus a studio with fully-equipped kitchen designed as a triple or family room. The breakfast is delicious, and the atmosphere cosmopolitan and friendly.
