Travel Guide Konkouré

From Mamou, take the Kindia road (direction Conakry) to the village of Konkouré about 20 km away. From there, leave the asphalt on a track on the left at the mosque, towards the village of Dhepol. After the last houses of the village, take a small track on the left and you will arrive at a space where you can park your car. Just next door, in the middle of a more or less dense vegetation depending on the season, flows between anarchic piles of rocks the Konkouré. It forms a charming waterfall of about thirty metres in height and about as wide. Not very easy to observe as a whole, you have to look for the best viewpoint among the rocks. You can also go down to the bottom of the waterfall, at least in the dry season, because the slope is steep and quite uneven. Pleasant place for a picnic.
