The pastries are pancake-like, and seem to treat guests before they head out to set the dance floor alight (it's usually packed on Saturday nights). It's good and not too expensive a way to fill up. Okay, it's pretty noisy when you want to talk, but it's perfect for watching the crowds go by in the rua das Pedras. You can also come in for a drink.
BANANALAND
Read moreThe Bananaland, not to be confused with the Banana da Terra de Paraty, has been a popular place since it opened in Buzios a quarter of a century ago. The chef Beto, owner of the premises, wanted to make Bananaland a compromise between good food and affordable cuisine. Close to the Santos-Dumont square, this high-flying "kilo" offers a good variety of very good dishes (25 salads and 25 hot dishes). Connoisseurs appreciate it. Some of the dishes have even won awards. Try their famous pancake with maracujá liqueur!

Read moreThis modest fishermen's restaurant is located in front of the harbor, facing the boats and the sea. The setting is simple, but the view is breathtaking. Some tables are outside, others on a covered terrace, but the pleasure for the taste buds is the same. Very Brazilian dishes are served here, especially prepared fish specialties. The emblematic dishes are moquecas, grilled cherne (noble fish at rock-bottom prices here) and grilled lobster. Everything is good and leaves you with a taste for a return visit. Prices are very reasonable.

There are excellent moquecas, (vegetarians and vegans can enjoy excellent vegan moquecas ), succulent lobsters, fisherman's salad, grilled fish and squid. We were seduced by a plate of pink conger eel. Some customers were converted to seafood even though they weren't necessarily fans of it, that is to say. Admittedly, the restaurant is simple, but the decor and the dishes are worth the trip to Porto da Barra.

The dishes on offer are well cooked: fish, meat, lobster, vegetables... No emphasis, but a very correct cuisine and a relatively sweet addition to Buzios. The starters, the main courses, the desserts, everything is up to the guests' expectations. Salsa offers a majority of carefully selected organic products. The cuisine is light and varied. The reception is very professional and pleasant.

Read moreThe Bar do Zé (which is no longer just a bar, but one of the most popular restaurants in Búzios) is worth visiting for its original cuisine, with its emphasis on fish and sweet-salty mixes (e.g. grouper with banana and cashew nuts, succulent) and its divine setting facing Praia do Armação, on the Orla Bardot. Its straw hut style gives it a rustic and chic feel. Candles in the evening add to the romanticism of the place. The places near the terrace to see the sea lend themselves magically to a dinner for two.

On the terrace or in a simply decorated dining room, you can enjoy all kinds of classic dishes (many seafood dishes) of good quality for the advertised price, even if lovers of spices will be disappointed. Obviously, the best meat in asado (barbecue) in all its forms: picanha, entrecote, olho de bife... All to be accompanied by a good bottle of Malbec. Very pleasant patio. Tango shows are offered on Tuesday nights. Obviously, if you don't like meat, you will lose a bit of the soul of this restaurant which puts forward the Argentinean traditions.
BUDA BEACH

The diversity of the offer is in no way incompatible with the unquestionable quality of each of the activities on offer. Pizzas, seafood pastas, paella, shrimp or lobster moqueca - the dishes are varied, good and good value for money.
