Leo, capital of Sissili province, is a small stopover town on the road to Ghana (13 km from the border), populated by Gourounsi, Peuls and Mossi. It does not have much interest, except on Fridays, when it is animated by a very lively regional market, on which Ghanaians and Burkinabè trade. It is always pleasant to stop for a short break to refuel, refresh, eat or spend a night. Despite the lack of tourist interest (or perhaps because of this lack!), the atmosphere of this small border town is quite relaxed and nonchalant. We pass there to join Po and Gaoua, as part of a circuit combining the South and South-West. The Leo region is known for its vast expanses of cotton fields, which can be seen along the Ouagadougou road, and for its classified forest of the Sissili River, of the same name as the province, which borders the Nazinga Park. About twenty kilometres north of Leo is Nebbou, whose track connection is part of a vast road development project for internal access (the technical study was launched in 2015). The good R15 track from Nebbou makes it possible to reach Po and the Nazinga ranch.
