It is the main stop on the northern road, leading from Wa to Bolgatanga, in the heart of a savannah region. It will interest the traveler for its typical architecture. Unlike the kraals of the upper eastern region (round houses with straw hat roofs), these are rectangular, and the flat roof serves as a terrace. Otherwise, there is nothing else to see, except the cotton fields and the market. In this region, markets are organized on a six-day cycle. Tumu's market returns on the first day of each cycle. There is also a dance and music festival in January and February, the Paragbeile Festival.
