The D-Day Experience museum offers an immersive, interactive journey in the footsteps of the paratroopers. Your visit is divided into 3 stages: firstly, the D-Day Experience museum, with its 1,500 m² exhibition on the American paratroopers, its briefing and its unique flight simulator, which lets you relive their crossing of the English Channel on the night of June 5 to 6, 1944: emotions guaranteed, both in terms of sensations and the incredibly realistic perception of what the liberators must have felt before jumping from their planes, risking their lives! Next, you'll discover the 3D cinema on a giant screen that explains the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Carentan: a 36-minute documentary is projected onto a 15 x 8-meter screen, with spatialized sound, heightening your sensations tenfold. And finally, the historic Dead Man's Corner house lets you discover the point of view of the German troops. It's a real family immersion into the lives of those who lived through D-Day! Here, the fighting lasted no less than 3 full days, and the house and its exhibition invite you to discover these days from the point of view of the German soldiers, with an incredible museography. To reach the site from Paris or Cherbourg, leave the RN13 at Carentan and follow the signs for Saint-Côme-du-Mont. There's also a restaurant, picnic area and electric recharging point.

Free admission for children under 6. Adults: between €9 and €19.90. Children: €7 to €15.90. Family pass (2 adults and 3 children): between 45 and 65 €. Vacation vouchers. Located in Saint-Côme-du-Mont, at the Dead Man's Corner, a strategic point in the Battle of Carentan, D-Day Experience plunges you into the heart of the Battle of Carentan. After a briefing by a hologram inspired by a real American paratrooper, climb aboard a C-47 transformed into a flight simulator and relive the night of June 6, 1944 as a paratrooper! Get ready for an eventful flight as the bombing rages around you. Then, through an innovative and grandiose museography, the museum takes you alongside the soldiers who fought for the liberation of Carentan. With authentic objects, you'll discover the story of the men who lived through the Normandy Landings. Then, the historic Dead Man's Corner, with its reconstruction of a command post, lets you discover the German point of view. Finally, the giant-screen 3D cinema provides an educational summary of the D-Day landings, with two films in one: D-Day Normandy 1944 and Take and Hold Carentan (available in english via headset). Ursprünglich sind wir wegen der Flug Simulation gekommen, jedoch war das am Ende für uns das schlechteste der drei Museumsabschnitte.
Das Museum am Dead Mens Corner war wirklich toll, mit handgeschrieben Notizen des ursprünglichen Besitzers über die Geschichte seiner Dinge, einem tollen Video wo er seine Geschichte erzählt. Sehr echt und authentisch.
Die Flugsimulation war leider enttäuschend, der erste Teil, wo man eine "Einweisung " von einem General bekommt war gut, nett gemacht. Flugzeug toll aufbereitet, aber die Simulation war leider wirklich sehr karg.
Im 3D Kino liefen zwei nette Filme, die als Einstieg in das Thema wirklich toll sind. Den 3D Effekt hätte man nicht gebraucht.
Es gibt zur Übersetzung Kopfhörer, welche in verschiedene Sprachen eingestellt werden können, unter anderem Deutsch, Englisch und Italienisch.
