The D-Day Experience museum offers an immersive, interactive journey in the footsteps of the paratroopers. Your visit is divided into 3 stages: firstly, the D-Day Experience museum, with its 1,500 m² exhibition on the American paratroopers, its briefing and its unique flight simulator, which lets you relive their crossing of the English Channel on the night of June 5 to 6, 1944: emotions guaranteed, both in terms of sensations and the incredibly realistic perception of what the liberators must have felt before jumping from their planes, risking their lives! Next, you’ll discover the 3D cinema on a giant screen, which explains the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Carentan. A 36-minute documentary is projected onto a 15 x 8-meter screen, with spatialized sound, enhancing your sensations tenfold in an incredible space. And finally, the historic Dead Man’s Corner house lets you discover the point of view of the German troops. It’s a real family immersion into the lives of those who lived through D-Day! Here, the fighting lasted no less than 3 full days, and the house and its exhibition invite you to discover these days from the point of view of the German soldiers, with an incredible museography. To reach the site from Paris or Cherbourg, leave the RN13 at Carentan and follow the signs for Saint-Côme du Mont. From there, D-Day Experience is well signposted and easy to find! A must on your tour.

Open all year round. Low season: daily from 10am to 6pm. High season: daily from 9.30am to 7pm. Closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1. Free admission for children under 6. Adults: between €9 and €19.90. Children: between €7 and €15.90. Family pass (2 adults and 3 children): between 45 and 65 €. Vacation vouchers. Restaurant (April to September). Gift store.

merci pour votre visite en famille et votre commentaire élogieux sur notre établissement. Nous sommes très heureux que vous ayez passé un très bon moment chez nous.
Nous voulions juste revenir sur le côté "commercial" de notre musée. Sauf erreur de notre part, il y a une boutique dite de souvenirs dans tous les musées. Concernant la seconde boutique, il s'agit d'un magasin d'antiquités militaires qui fait le bonheur des collectionneurs, mais également des réalisateurs de films, des metteurs en scène de pièces de théâtre, etc. Il s'agit là d'objets historiques qui ont une certaine valeur, comme tous les objets historiques d'ailleurs.
Enfin, étant un musée privé, nous ne touchons aucune subvention, ni aide de qui que ce soit, contrairement à nos confrères publics qui peuvent toucher jusqu'à 500.000 € d'aide par an. C'est peut-être une des raisons pour laquelle leurs boutiques "souvenirs" sont plus petites.
