Literally "the island of small beans". It is the second island of the Inland Sea by its surface. Known for its olive groves, it also offers beautiful landscapes. To the southeast of Olive Park, the peninsula, which ends with the Jizōzaki lighthouse, offers beautiful views of the Inland Sea. On the east coast, at Iwagatani, one can see huge blocks of stone intended for the construction of Ōsaka Castle. Like many others in the region, the island participates in the Setouchi Triennial. In recent years, therefore, charming shops, hotels and restaurants have developed that do not hesitate to reinterpret local traditions and energize the island. A very pleasant place for a relaxed stay, to be discovered while walking around!
