St. Saviour's Cathedral in Bruges, the oldest church in the city, with many works of art.

This is the oldest of the town's parish churches. Within its walls, in 1478, the Knights of the Golden Fleece met to establish the succession of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy. He confirmed his daughter Marie as the new duchess, who would become the beloved of the people of Bruges. The church became the seat of the bishopric of Bruges after the destruction of Saint-Donatien Cathedral during the French revolutionary occupation in 1799. Don't miss a visit to the Treasury, which houses some of the finest paintings by Dirk Bouts and others.

La cathédrale a été coupé en deux et le trésor de Michel Ange est dans la partie payante. Cette cloison gâche la splendeur de la cathédrale qui reste cependant très belle.

Lieu incontournable de Bruges, la cathédrale nous replonge dans les film du moyen âge. Austère et sombre avec ses briques elle dégage une ambiance particulière.
A faire sans hésiter que l'on soit amoureux ou non des églises.

A magnificent cathedral where you can admire the famous statue of michelangelo "La Madone to the child", who was looted in 1944 during the Second World War. The treasury, consisting of paintings, is fantastic!
