So I left this restaurant feeling sad, as I know it will be a very long time until I eat food this good again!
Bruno and his team have created something very special at Bruut and the experience begins the second you walk in the front door. No table cloths, no menu, no stiff awkward convos just a seamless exciting and curious evening of knockout wines and food of the highest possible standard. The 9 course tasting menu seemed to get better and better as the night went on and we just didn’t want it to end.
You would struggle to find a better restaurant in Belgium! In fact I wouldn’t even bother looking, just head here and you won’t be disappointed….
Smaakvolle, creatieve en met expertise bereide maaltijden van hoog niveau. Fantastische wijncombinaties. De zaal is klein en dat draagt bij aan de sfeer. De prijzen zijn in verhouding met de uitstekende kwaliteit.
We enjoyed the Belgiantwist menu. Food paired with Georgean natural wines.
Bruno presented his new dishes and menu, a fusion of Belgian and Georgian ingredients
@wurdemanjohn from @pheasants_tears and @madskleppe former sommelier @nomacph did a marvellous wine pairing
My personal favourites were the Flaxseed cracker with North sea shrimp paired with #tsolikouri 2021
Salted beets surrounded with ferments and horse radish paired with somewhat aged #khivikvi 2019
Another top pairing of the evening was definitively the Wild hare chocolate dry aged, with red cabbage, plums and smoked foie gras with #saparavi 2021
To finish off with Bruno's Kiss my chestnuts paired with a #chinuri #petnat @iagos_winery
Interested design of the food.. It looks pretty... but we didn't really like the taste, size of portions, quality of products and atmosphere was to much urban.. also music in techno style was not really on our taste.. service was great!
Absolutely perfect meal with unique, well thought out dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. Each course was enhanced by a fabulous wine pairing presented by an extremely knowledgeable sommelier! If you are in Bruges, a booking at Bruut should be at the top of your dining list!
Fantastic lunch experience.
Cosy friendly atmosphere.
All dishes were really innovative yet well thought through and coherent, in particular thanks to the amazing sauces.
Difficult to pick one in particular but the burnt leek with mussel sauce and the fig on fig on fig dessert were outstanding!
A beautifully presented lunch, crafted from produce available locally. Tastes which surprise and visually bring a smile. Served with style and drinks to compliment the dishes. I highly recommend Bruut, and thoroughly deserves higher industry recognition.
Skill, passion, and enthusiasm come through at full strength in the flavors at Bistro Bruut. Each dish highlighted the flavors of the excellent local ingredients and then accentuated that in ways that brought out more. Likewise, the wine pairing, based in biodynamic wines, worked to perfection enhancing flavors. And also same, chef and sommelier share their passion with every diner making for a truly memorable experience. Bistro Bruut sits in the top ranks of meals we’ve ever had.
Unfortunately the owner judges a book by its covers. I had no ideea this place is "something" of a culinary "experience". We stumbled upon the place and wanted to enjoy something, but the owner was rude, totally impolite - we're closed!!! I'll go spend my money somewhere else but you don't need to act like a ...jackass!
An unbelievable restaurant in Bruges. Beautiful food, lovely personal touches from the owner, and a great sommelier who explained the really interesting wine pairing. It was a lovely experience. We have been to a number of Michelin starred restaurants in he UK such as L’Enclume and Moor Hall, but Bruut was amazing, and one of the best meals we have had, so informal and relaxed, but so interesting. Very highly recommended
The most amazing food experience I have had in a very long time. I’ve been to Acquerello in SF and this might top the experience there. The chef is funny, the server very knowledge in multiple languages. The wine pairing were great and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had I would highly recommend and go back again when in Bruges.

Ce fut un véritable régal, d’une finesse incomparable. Tout était parfait.
Un must a Bruges !
