CHIESA SAN DOMENICO MAGGIORE
Church of Romanesque-Gothic style, preceded by a double flight of baroque stairs.
A church with a Romanesque-Gothic façade, pierced by a rose window and preceded by a double flight of Baroque stairs. A side entrance leads to the 14th-century cloister and the former convent, now occupied by the Ministry of Culture, one room of which features an exhibition of objects seized by the authorities from clandestine excavations. These include ancient vases and a 9th-century gold ring that once belonged to a dignitary of the Byzantine Empire.
