Neoclassical theater located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele
With a structure similar to that of the San Carlo Theater in Naples, the Curci Theater, located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, is one of the most famous in southern Italy. It represents one of the most successful examples of neoclassical style in Puglia. The theater was inaugurated in 1819 and named after the composer from Barletta. In 1890 it hosted the honorable Pietro Mascagni for the performance of his one-act opera, Cavalleria Rusticana.
