MUSEO CIVICO ARCHEOLOGICO
Museum exhibiting Paleolithic and Neolithic repertoires in Bisceglie
Located in the former monastery of Santa Croce, the museum exhibits Paleolithic and Neolithic repertoires (flint tools, Neanderthal man's femur, ceramics) discovered in the caves and caverns of the surrounding area (Santa Croce caves...). There is also material from the Iron Age and the Roman period, with epigraphy and a marble cinerary urn from the 1st century BC, decorated with bas-reliefs, which was used as a stoup in a church in Bisceglie!
