There are two different Lappish villages: Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi. Dans l'hôtel Saaga, on trouve un spa, une salle de muscu.
Dans la station, il y a un bowling, un bar, des boutiques de sport et une centrale de Lapland Safari pour faire des excursions en raquettes, motoneige...
Il y a quelques chemin de randonnée en raquettes, des à pieds, d'autres en motoneige. Il y a pas mal de pistes de ski de fond.
On peut monter en haut du mont avec le téléphérique pour avoir une belle vue (10€ l'aller-retour).
