This is the oldest house in Akaslompolo. Built between 1875, it escaped the German destruction during the war, defended by its inhabitants. It was Ahti Kaulanen, one of the descendants, who renovated it for six summers, to open it to the public. The woodwork, furniture, and many tools are at the time. They trace the history and daily life of the inhabitants of Äkäslompolo, punctuated by winter and nature until the 1950 s.
