SAUNA RAUHANIEMI

Hammam

A historic sauna, built in 1929, near Lake Näsijärvi. It's famous in winter for swimming in the icy water just after the sauna: you'll see Finns in bathing suits coming out of the sauna, still steaming, walking barefoot and then taking a leisurely swim in the frozen lake. If you're brave (or daredevil) you can try it too! In summer, you can sunbathe on the nearby beach and swim in the lake. And for those not used to saunas, there are three with different heat levels.

SAUNA KUUMA

Saunas

In this waterside sauna-restaurant, two different atmospheres await you, depending on your mood: the "old-fashioned" wood-heated version, or the more modern, stone-heated version. In both cases, enjoy the view while you sweat your heart out, before taking a dip in the outdoor pool. Kuuma also boasts an excellent restaurant serving Nordic cuisine with a European twist, all with a lovely terrace and a magnificent view over Tampere. We highly recommend it!
