The city's oldest covered market hall has been open since 1889. Attractive wooden stalls, cafés and restaurants, including the famous Story, where you can sample Finnish specialties and exquisite burgers. A bit of a tourist market, it's not really the place to go for family shopping, but you can find local artisanal specialties to bring back from your trip, such as moose pâté or cranberry jam.

One finds there shovel-mixes with the flowers, of the meats of dash, reindeer and wide varieties of fresh fish or pastries. On the first floor, stands of craftsmen offering a wide choice of accessories, clothing, soaps and other souvenirs Finnish, without forgetting a small café to rest right in the middle of all this extremely friendly agitation. In all, 70 shops expect you!
