In the world's highest and largest ice cave, at an altitude of 3,400 m, sculptors recreate dinosaur figures.
This is the highest ice cave in the world, at an altitude of almost 3,400 m in a genuine glacier! It was excavated in 1993 by two mountain guides, Bruno Gardent and Bernard Lambolez, and provides access to the interior of the glacier - which is melting all the time - at a depth of 30 m! Every year, sculptors renew the figures on ice, featuring dinosaurs and dragons... Great! An ice cave can also be visited in the Alpe-d'Huez ski resort in the same massif.
