It is located 19 km from Salto, on Route 3 (km 552). This thermal spring was discovered in 1945 by the Geological Institute of Uruguay, when oil was being sought. Since then, a thermal complex has been built with 5 outdoor and indoor pools from 26 to 38°C, including an Olympic pool and a private pool reserved for cures. These thermal baths are very famous for their curative virtues, and allow, among other things, to heal wounds, injuries and to treat rheumatism. The water is sold in bottles and is used as a diuretic and to soothe the stomach. You can camp or stay in establishments of different categories.
